An editor you have to re-brief every session isn’t much of an editor. Cuts keeps three kinds of memory, each with its own reach.
Taste
Cuts keeps a profile of how you like things — pacing, caption style, the music you reach for, the endings you cut. It spans projects: what it learns cutting this week’s reel shapes next week’s. You don’t fill it in; it grows from your corrections and your choices.
Decisions
Some choices apply for the whole project. Tell Cuts “the intro stays under three seconds” or “always my cloned voice for narration” and it locks that in — no re-litigating it three chats later.
Brand
Facts about your look and sound — “the logo never goes on the left” — live in your brand kit, alongside your logos, colors, and cloned voice. Brand memory crosses projects: state a rule once and every reel after that follows it.
Correcting it
Memory is steerable in plain language. Ask Cuts what it remembers about you. Tell it to remember something. Tell it to forget something. Correct a wrong guess and the correction is what sticks; that’s the whole mechanism. Memory is young, like the rest of Cuts, and it gets more useful the more plainly you talk to it.
