An editor you have to re-brief every session isn't much of an editor. Cuts keeps three kinds of memory, each with its own reach.

## Taste

Cuts keeps a profile of how you like things — pacing, caption style, the music you reach for, the endings you cut. It spans projects: what it learns cutting this week's reel shapes next week's. You don't fill it in; it grows from your corrections and your choices.

## Decisions

Some choices apply for the whole project. Tell Cuts "the intro stays under three seconds" or "always my cloned voice for narration" and it locks that in — no re-litigating it three chats later.

## Brand

Facts about your look and sound — "the logo never goes on the left" — live in your [brand kit](/cuts/docs/brand-kit), alongside your logos, colors, and cloned voice. Brand memory crosses projects: state a rule once and every reel after that follows it.

## Correcting it

Memory is steerable in plain language. Ask Cuts what it remembers about you. Tell it to remember something. Tell it to forget something. Correct a wrong guess and the correction is what sticks; that's the whole mechanism. Memory is young, like the rest of Cuts, and it gets more useful the more plainly you talk to it.
